XBox One X: Review
Xbox one X is one of the most powerful console till the time but it is still having some cons that lags it behind the almighty PS4 Pro.
Microsoft has done a great job in making this console whether it is in terms of Power, Design or Performance . You can play third party games on this console but these games run almost on other platforms also like PS4 Pro and Xbox one S. Sometimes the games look running at more better resolution than the other two competitors Xbox one S and the PS4 pro and gives better experience of gaming on Xbox one X than the other two. But, this is not enough to win the race for the better console. It also depends on console’s Exclusives, Price and many other features which we are going to find out in this review.
Xbox one X is having some amazing features like backward compatibility, 4k HDR gaming, 4k Blu-ray drive, Game Pass, Gold membership and lot more. If raw power is all what you need than you must go for Xbox one X. Xbox one X is far much better console than the PS4 Pro in terms of Raw power .You need a 4k TV to find out its true power. The hardware inside the box is unbelievable. Microsoft’s puts an head to head competition with Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro. Xbox one X supports 4K HDR gaming that is not supported by any other console so far. Due to it’s 4k Gaming it took gaming to the whole next level. In this blog, we are going to discuss its features in deep and we will give our opinion on it ,if it is worth it or not.

Xbox one X is more identical to the Xbox one S. The only main difference in the design is that Xbox one S is having White color while the Xbox one X is having a matte black finish and there is also a small shift of the disc drive that makes difference between the two. The port selection on both the consoles are nearly same. Xbox one X is bit smaller than the Xbox one S in the case of volume. Xbox one X is heavier than the Xbox one S in weight all thanks to the hardware that is being fitted in the small box. Xbox one X is merely larger than the Xbox one S according to the dimensions.

In the front there is a power button, USB-A and controller pairing button on the right and on the left there is the Disc Drive. At the Rear of the Xbox one X there are same ports as those on the Xbox one S, Including the Power Socket, HDMI out and in, two USB-A, Ethernet port and fan vents below them. At the side panel there are vents to evacuate the heat trapped inside the box. The only thing missing in this model is the kinetic port (motion sensing camera) like on the Xbox 360.You have to buy the kinetic port from the market separately and a USB socket to connect it with your Xbox one X and Xbox one S.

Controller of the Xbox one X is still same as of the Xbox one S. It is the same Bluetooth Controller but with more improved power and performance. There is a Headphone jack installed to the controller.
The only thing that keeps the controller behind is that it still running on those old AA Batteries whereas the other Consoles are having rechargeable controller.

We are shocked by seeing Microsoft has installed all that power in a small box. In terms of hardware Xbox one X is having a 8-core CPU clocked at 2.3Ghz, 12GB DDR5 Ram, 1TB HDD and an AMD Polaris GPU with 6 teraflops of power. On the other side PS4 pro is having only 8GB of Ram and 4.2 teraflops which is much less than the Xbox one X. In this case Xbox one X is the clear winner. Now the question arises is that, Do we really need that much extra power? Xbox one X is having all the powers to give smooth and awesome experience of gaming or streaming movies or videos at 4k resolution.
The only problem with the Xbox one X is with its Hard Drive. It is 1TB in count but this 1TB is not enough to store all your games and apps. For e.g.,if we downloaded 3 games at the start i.e. Gear of War 4, Call of Duty WWII and Forza Motorsport 7, these game are 100Gb, 90Gb, 70Gb in size respectively. These three games can alone make 30%of your consoles Hard drive. You need to buy an external Hard Drive from the market at more expense to play without the fear of filling up of your Hard Drive .This point is not negligible for this High End Console from the Microsoft. Microsoft should install a 2TB Hard drive like they installed on the Xbox one S. Xbox one S is available with a 2TB Hard drive at very less price than the Xbox one X. You have to buy an external 4TB Hard drive for your Xbox one X.
While using the Xbox one X we don’t experience any issue with the Thermals,,this may be because we placed it on a open space where the console can get the air to cool down faster but when you placed the console in somewhere closed like in cupboard or as Shelf you may experience some thermal throttling. This is obvious because heat didn’t get enough space to get out. This is the case with the other consoles also. At that time the fan sounds are noticeable and louder but not enough to overcome the sound of your TV. So, you can’t hear any sound while sitting on a sofa 4-5 meters away from the console and busy in playing Games, or streaming a 4k movie or video.

Let’s do this, this is the most interested part of this review. A good console doesn’t depends how it looks or what’s in that console, it truly depends upon the performance. Well, according to our test performed on this console, Xbox one X performed very well in terms of Gaming and Entertainment.
First let’s talk about the gaming:-
There are more than 400 enhanced games, you get a pretty large library of Games to play on. The games like Tomb Raider works on 4k at 30FPS and at 1080p, it’s 60FPS, the performance of the Tomb Raider on the Xbox one X is awesome. The other games that have same features is the Assassins Creed Origins and the Gear of War 4. We also tried many games on this like WWE2k18, Gear of War, Halo 5, Forza Horizon; these all looks stunning on the Xbox one X’s 4k HDR. While trying the games we don’t face any issue with the console . The factor on which the Xbox One X lags behind the PS4 Pro is the Exclusives. Although the Xbox is having some good exclusives like Gear of War, Halo, Forza and many more, but if you choose Xbox you won’t be able to experience the Sony’s high end console games like The Uncharted, God Of War, The Last of Us, Detroit and many others. In case of exclusives PS4 Pro is far much better than the Xbox one X, but in return Xbox offers Backward Compatibility features, in this you can play your favorite games of the Xbox 360 and the Xbox one S or the Xbox one X. Backward Compatibility is currently not available with PS4 Pro or there is no clue of this feature in the future of the Play Station’s upcoming models. So, in this you are unable to play your favorite games of PS3 or PS2 on the PS4 Pro.

The Console works fine in playing games. There are just few drops in the FPS while gaming in 4K. This is where the true power of the Xbox one X comes out with the 4K TV. If you don’t have a 4k TV,you can get a demo on the 1080p Tv how the game looks like on 4k screen. In 1080p, the FPS flickers more than that on the 4k screen. One thing that Microsoft forgets is the VR. while Sony’s PlayStations support VR in a well organized and best way of it.
Xbox is also having a Game Pass i.e., it has subscription for gamers. In this, gamers get an access to the large game library. These libraries refreshes every month in which few games are added and few are removed. If you like to buy a game you get 10% discount on the game. This is a great deal for the Gamers.
Xbox one X is better than the PS4 in gaming resolution but lacks in the exclusives. But if power and quality of picture is all you need than you must go for a Xbox one X.

Another than Gaming Xbox one X also provides Entertainment Hub. This is the place where the Xbox one X leaves behind the PS4 Pro. Xbox One X supports 4K Blu-Ray this feature haven’t introduced by the other Consoles yet. Most importantly Xbox one X supports “Dolby Atoms”. It Supports Amazon Prime Videos And Netflix. Online Gaming with friends, For this option you have to get an Xbox Live Membership. In Xbox Live Membership you get 4 free Games every Month, You can play multiplayer Games, You get special offers on buying Games.
Dolby Atoms technology, you have to pay more for this feature but it worth it. It is better than the Microsoft’s old audio technology. Only some movies and videos on the Netflix Supported by ‘Atoms’. The 4k HDR Blu-ray with Dolby Atom gives you the best experience in watching movies or Videos. You have to relay on Amazon Prime and Netflix for 4k movies and videos. Xbox also have some apps for entertainment like Spotify, Plex, HBO GO and Hulu.
Xbox is a good console for watching movies and videos for the entertainment along with Gaming.

The biggest drawback of this Xbox one x most powerful console is the price it worth $500.The PS4 Pro worth $400 with better exclusives. The Xbox One S is of around $250-$300 whose most of the features is same as the Xbox One X except the 4k Blu-Ray and 4k Gaming with HDR. The Xbox one X is quite much expensive with respect to both the consoles. So, price is the main issue with the Xbox one X.
