Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is an another wizard world movie with a screenplay written by J. K. Rowling is directed by David Yates. This is the sequel of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which was released in 2016. It is the second movie in the Fantastic Beasts film series, and it stands tenth overall in the Wizarding World franchise, which have their beginning with the Harry Potter film series. The film has a very extreme talented cast that includes Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Jude Law, and Johnny Depp. The film plots a story that follows Newt Scamander and Albus Dumbledore who attempt to take down the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, while facing new threats in a more divided wizardous world.

In July 2017, Principal photography for this film began at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden .Most of the filming took place in England, including London, Switzerland, and Paris. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be first released in Paris with its world premiere in Paris on 8 November 2018 and it is scheduled to release worldwide on 16 November 2018 in Real D 3D and IMAX 3D, by Warner Bros. Pictures.

As shown at the end of the first film that the powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald was captured by Magical Congress of the United States of America, with the help of Newt Scamander. But, to make good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped their custody and most unsuspecting of his true agenda that was to raise wizards and witches up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In doing the efforts to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.

Warner Bros. Pictures announced in October 2014 that the film is going to be at least a trilogy with the first installment set to be released on 18 November 2016 followed by the second installment on 16 November 2018 and the final one, the third installment on 20 November 2020. David Yates confirms to direct the first installment of the series.
Yates confirms in July 2016 that J. K. Rowling had written the screenplay for the second film and also had ideas for the third. Yates talked to Entertainment Weekly about the second film, saying that they have seen the script for the second part and for the second movie takes the story to a whole new direction .The second movie introduces many new characters as J.K.Rowlings builds this part of the Harry Potter universe further. It was reported in October 2016, that the Fantastic Beasts film series would comprise five films, with the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald setting in another global capital city, and Eddie Redmayne would be returning to all films to play the main role of Newt Scamander.

On 1 November 2016, Johnny Depp had been cast in the film as per the reports of, Deadline Hollywood. Johnny’s casting received criticism by some fans, because of his previous involvement in domestic violence allegations. But ultimately, there is real controversy. J.K. has seen the evidence and knows I was right, and that’s why she has publicly supported me.
First, Michael Gambon (who played the role in six of the Harry Potter films) was casted as Albus Dumbledore but director decided that the role should be played by a younger actor. So, he cast Jude Law. Jared Harris (son of Richard Harris), who played Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter films was also approached.

On 22 September 2017, David Sakurai was casted to play Krall. Jude Law finished shooting his scenes as Dumbledore in September 2017. On 5 October 2017, several other castings were also joined, including Brontis Jodorowsky as Nicolas Flamel and Jessica Williams joining in an undisclosed role.
On 8 November 2018, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will have its world premiere under the production of Warner Bros Pictures at the UGC Ciné Cité Bercy in Paris and to be released worldwide on 16 November 2018. The film will also get an IMAX, IMAX 3D and 2D release.
